Our Summer vacation 2009 season starts on Monday 29 June 2009, and features a few of our most popular classes in Ballroom & Latin and in Dancesport, including a Ballroom & Latin Beginners course suitable for those with no previous dance experience.
Our next full season, with classes in all our dance styles including ones suitable for complete beginners, will start in early October.
Sadly, as a university club, we always lose some of our volunteer organisers around this time of year. If you’ll be here after the summer and think you could lend a hand with running the club, we’d love to hear from you!
It doesn’t matter which dances you do, and it doesn’t matter if you’ve only started recently. In fact, we’d really like more people who’ve been going to Beginners and Improvers classes to join us.
There are loads of ways to get involved: help on the door at a class, put a friendly face on the club at the Societies Fair next term, have your say in discussions about what activities the club should run...
If you’re interested and would like to find out more, please e-mail us at info@cambridgedancers.org.
If you’re leaving us this summer but would like to stay in touch, we have a mailing list specially for alumni, where we send occasional announcements about things like ball dates and the Dancesport Team Reunion Match. If you’d like to subscribe, just send a mail to alumni-announce-subscribe@cambridgedancers.org. (You can unsubscribe at any time, and we don’t share our mailing lists with anyone else.)
For those interested in Dancesport around Cambridge, both on and off the university circuit, we’ve recently set up another e-mail list, where dancers can share competition details, plans for practices and visits by teachers for private lessons, and the like. Hopefully this will be useful during the summer when there are fewer regular activities organised by the club. If you’d like to join the list, just send an e-mail to dancesport-social-subscribe@cambridgedancers.org. Again, you can unsubscribe any time you like and we don’t share the list.
