Classes for new beginners

We are now more than two weeks into our current season, so our regular Beginners courses are no longer accepting new starters. This is to avoid slowing the pace of classes unfairly for those who have already started, and exceptions will not normally be made.

If you’d like to start Ballroom and Latin American, we have a special late starters course running from next week (Monday 12 May 2008). If you’re looking for a different dance style, we expect to run a small number of courses in some styles during the summer break, and then another full timetable starting in October, so you’re welcome to join us then!

Changes to Dancesport classes

As mentioned in earlier publicity, unfortunately we are not able to run the Dancesport Latin classes this term that we had originally planned. From this week, the classes previously advertised as Dancesport Modern will therefore cover both Modern and Latin.

Venue changes for Tuesday classes

The Rock ’n’ Roll and Dancesport classes on Tuesdays are swapping venues: in future, the Rock ’n’ Roll classes will be in Parkside Gym, and the Dancesport in Parkside Hall.

Announcement of Annual General Meeting

This year’s AGM will be on Friday 16 May 2008 at 8:30pm, in the main dining hall at the University Centre, Mill Lane. General Dancing will follow as soon as the AGM is concluded. Please come along early so we can get the formalities out of the way and start dancing as soon as possible!
