Cambridge Dancers' Club

Inter-college Team Match

Introduction

The final competition on the day of Cuppers is an inter-college Dancesport team match, which sees the Cambridge University colleges pitted against each other in waltz, quickstep, cha cha cha and jive, in a format similar to that used in inter-university competitions.

Format

Teams should normally consist of four couples, one for each of waltz, quickstep, cha cha cha and jive. These will be arranged by each college’s team captain (see list below). Colleges may enter multiple teams if they have enough dancers.

The match will be run as a separate competition in each dance, with couples progressing through the rounds and then being placed in the finals in the usual way. The exact number of rounds will be determined once we know how many entries there will be.
